Q&A from 2/18 MSDS spring 2010 conference call
A Spiderphone Conference Call was held Thursday, Feb 18. About 50 people attended.

A Power point was presented, which is available at www.mi-iis.com / Download Center / Presentations

3 questions were asked at the end

Q1. How can I identify just the Support Services Students (e.g. speech, P.T., etc) without the Program students?
Answer: There is no way to do that in the current structure. To do so, there would need to be a new Major option in addition to the three available on the select screens. We will examine whether to add that option.

Q2. Have the export files been updated? In particular, does the header says it is spring collection rather than fall collection, and it previously had an incorrect -1 for version.
Answer: That was corrected late Monday.

Q3. With MSDS doing the Special Ed active student collection at the end of 2010 (formerly called December collection), where will the Data Portraits be displayed?
Answer: The MSDS will generate a file of student records, with content similar to a file produced by MICIS from prior December counts. That new file will be imported to MICIS to do Data Portraits, and will also be used for CIMS workbooks, Public Reports, surveys, and other data processing tasks. The Portraits and supporting detail reports will be available in the same menu items as past portraits and detail reports.
